Serving Mineral, Missoula and Ravalli Counties 24 hours per day. 2-1-1 is the information and referral service that can provide the vital link between people with questions or problems and the social services in the community available to meet their needs. The website at Montana 2-1-1 has the most current and comprehensive listing of community resources available locally. HRC has been providing referrals to callers since 1988.
When you call 2-1-1, you will talk to an information and referral specialist. This person is trained to analyze your problem or questions, however complicated, and refer to you to the proper agencies and organizations that can help. ALL CALLS ARE CONFIDENTIAL. Referrals provided are to agencies, organizations and programs available to communities in our three county service area.
The three digit 2-1-1 number was first launched by United Way in partnership with the Alliance of Information & Referral Systems (AIRS) in 1997 and now serves over 91% of the entire American population, covering all or part of all 50 states plus Washington DC and Puerto Rico. HRC's 2-1-1 call center was awarded the National Alliance of Information & Referral Systems (AIRS) professional accreditation in 2008. As an AIRS accredited program, our 2-1-1 provides community referrals, information and assistance to callers in compliance with the highest established professional standards in the industry.
